am I a spoil sport?????
As it is Friday I thought I would go home over the new Abdoun bridge and was surprised and shocked to see cars parked on the bridge with people (and young children) walking along the edge and on the road. Not a police officer in sight of course and when I called 192 there was no reply!
There should be signs up saying 'no stopping' and warning of the dangers of walking along the side. Now, am I trying to spoil peoples fun? T

hahaha T this is so funny i can imagine jordanians doing this lol - no offense any1..
it doesnt shock me man, amman is a small city, and projects like these always get ammanians over excited, just like anything new happening in this city. its actually cool, to see how excited ammanians are and how the government actually allow them to be like this, i happened to pass across the bridge today, and i saw them parked on the side, and guess what, i also saw a police car passing on the bridge. well, a week from today, they would give you a ticket for that, but for now, u can take the wife and kids there with an arjieleh and enjoy the friday evening ;)
yes, with bells on.
Grass
well yes and no, I would say give people a couple of days to enjoy it first.
given that tens of millions of JDs of their tax money was spent on this rediculous project I'd say let them have their fun until they get sick of it and it starts to decay because the Amaneh went into the red supposedly for the first time in its history to fund it that it will not have any money to maintain it. 3afarem.
Just for kicks, I'm going to walk out to the middle of the bridge and try to catch a taxi. Anywhere else in the world, a taxi driver would lose his license for stopping on a bridge, but in Jordan...ma3laysh.
