We are three American and three British women who are married to Jordanians and have lived in Jordan for many many many years! We want to share our experiences and views of our lives in Jordan.
I would take Craig Murray (a former colleague of mine) with a very very very large pinch of salt in this instance. He has his own agenda and I don't think it is a very honest one. Any one who claims to 'have known it all along' may be a touch too arrogant for their own good
It is very easy to believe something that agrees with our own scenarios and get upset at other points of view. There is never any black and white just shades of grey everywhere. T
At the end of the day it is about honesty. It's hard to shed the feeling that somewhere along the corridors of the powers that be in this world gone mad, 'justice and truth' in politics is relegated to the back burner. Something to do with self interest, perhaps, on a national scale?
Why is something that did not happen deemed more significant/important/catastrophic than something that did - ie the slaughter of the innocents throughout the Middle East that just will not stop.... We are all a little tired of being forced to see things in shades of grey. Life is more beautiful than that ....
