'Rainbow Street revamped' and 'completed'. Hah!!!

The Jordan Times today quotes GAM that it 'has completed renovation work on Rainbow Street'. Well, I drove down there today and it is a complete mess with piles of unfinished work and holes in the road. The parking has gone mad with cars parked on each side of the street (plus the usual double parking) so hardly any space to squeeze through. And why put up those new lamps and still have the old ones there? So, GAM, Rainbow Street is not finished! T

Technically they are done but still in the finishing phase; I go to Rainbow Street everyday morning, in sunny days they work hard but they don't in cloudy and rainy ones.

Nevertheless, that's not an excuse for the mess nor the two sides parking.

I realize what the GAM is trying to do with Rainbow Street, but I'm not sure they've accomplished it. I think this "improvement and enhancement" will end up just creating more traffic and congestion.

I think it's all rather a shame, I would have preferred money to have been spent on some suitable public garden space (palm trees and plants that don't require much water) here and there without all the cement and cobblestone enhancements ... much cheaper .... I liked it just the way it was! J

it aint finished ... they're still working ...
I wonder though whats the reason of this big false publicity in the media by the GAM..

is it really because some bigger guys do not know whats really going on the street!

:S

again, like the public transportation people have never ridden a bus, the claimers of something that its finished might not even know where the street is!
