general sales tax and special sales tax - help!
I was looking through my Zain mobile bill and noticed that we have to pay the General Sales Tax of 16% and a Special Sales Tax of 4%. Would someone please explain to me why I (and everyone else) are paying a 20% tax. Land line bills just have the 16%.

Well, general sales tax are applied to everything.
Special sales taxes are specified and applied for certain products with certain percentages, and certain reasons. ex Mobile phones bills and cards 4%, alcohol 120% ... etc.

Just because... The extra four percent is levied on mobile phone products, as Nas said.
