Rest in peace Tahseen

Yesterday another brave Jordanian soldier died.

Over the years Tahseen Shurdom was one of the backbones of the Jordanian Army. He was a big, bluff and hearty soldier and one of the bravest of the brave. You could hear him from a mile away with his loud voice and hearty laugh and his presence would fill a room. He fought in wars and was involved in peace negotiations. His last posting was as Director of the Public Security, though I could never see him as a police officer. He was a soldier through and through and served his country with distinction. My condolences to his family. He will be missed. T

It was my privilege to have known Tahseen and his family for nearly 40 years and what memories I have of this very special man!
Even as he rose through the ranks he never forgot his friends of those early days.
A true son of Jordan he embodied everything that goes to make a true soldier and as we all know, soldiers never die!
Rest in peace my friend,

Jane Masri

As an old friend of General Shurdom, I was shocked to find out, while trying to find a way to contact him, the he had died last year. We lost touch over the years, but Tash will be well remembered and greatly missied. I would really like to hear from anyone who knew him and who may have news of his family. I can be reached at ccrisp926@gmail.com.
